Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral health education, and assist the dentist during procedures. Duties:
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care to patients

Experience:
- Proficient in HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of dental office systems and procedures
- Familiarity with medical records and medical coding
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Open Dental) for scheduling and charting
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for dental x-rays
- Strong patient assessment skills and ability to identify potential oral health issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Certification in Dental Assisting is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
